While in that little church he observed a brother playing a guitar with missing strings and an accordion player with a broken instrument. After seeing them play with heartfelt dedication, he realized that he wanted to be a worshipper. While watching his grandfather preach the gospel with fire and without shame, he knew he wanted to be in ministry.
Abel’s first congregation was a collection of stuffed animals and pets. It was prophesied over him that his grandfathers mantle would be passed on to him and upon his passing, Abel received it with honor. Having been a faithful servant in the church, the Lord called him to preach the word of God. “The spirit of the Lord is moving, restoring lives. God is calling, strengthening and anointing people to rise up to what god has called them to be. I am excited and in awe of what God is doing at Fresno Worship Center. I am having an awesome time with my church family that I love and cherish deeply. I am here to serve.” |
Rev. Abraham Rababy, Founder
Rev. Rababy was born in Beirut, Lebanon to Malakite Catholic parents. As a teenager, Abraham was part of a terrorizing street gang, was involved in drugs, alcohol, robberies and a victim of several stabbings. In 1950, he received the Lord, after hearing a missionary from Susanville, California. In 1959 he became ordained and married his late wife, Carol, who was an Elim Fellowship missionary to Lebanon. They had two children, David and Michelle. After civil war broke out in Lebanon, he moved his family to the United States in 1975. They lived in Michigan for years before moving out to California. For over 60 years, he had the privilege of traveling throughout the United States, spreading the gospel to churches and pastors of all denominations, Women’s Aglow and Full Gospel Businessman's Fellowship. He held seminars on marriage, family, missions and prophecy according to the Bible. His life experiences and knowledge of Middle Eastern ways gave a unique insight of where we came from, where we were and where we were going.
Reverend Abraham Rababy went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2012. He won many hearts for the Lord and is now rejoicing among angels.
